Dear valued clients,
According to Orange County's stay-at-home order, Rick's Dog Deli is considered an essential business. We are open for normal business hours and continuing to offer free delivery within a 20-mile radius.
I wanted to address how we have initiated measures to go above and beyond our already intense sanitizing/cleaning processes designed to keep you and your pet safe from foodborne illness and now Covid-19. Be advised that your dog cannot become infected with the Covid-19 strain, but the virus can survive on solid surfaces, fabrics, and skin.
While our hygiene and sanitation partner, Ecolab, is providing regular service to ensure you receive the best possible dog food, we decided to initiate virus protection as well. This includes sanitizing high-traffic items around our facility, such as hard surfaces, door handles, guest POS and waiting areas, and bathroom and office facilities every two hours. We have initiated UVC lighting to disinfect keyboards, credit card terminals, countertops, etc. and we are taking all necessary steps to prevent transmission of the virus from all surfaces which are commonly touched by the public.
Moving forward, we ask for your help in stopping the spread of Covid-19. We have provided hand sanitizer, disinfectant spray, and sanitizing wipes at the front desk and encourage their use. In order to minimize human-to-human contact, we are asking clients to dip their own credit card and forgo a signature when using a credit card. Cash and all bills/coins returned in change have been sanitized by UVC lighting for everyone’s protection.
If you are feeling sick, please give us a call. We can arrange for delivery of your order or run the order out to your car. Please do not hesitate to ask us for anything, as we are here to help.
We are not expecting any supply disruptions. We took the necessary precautions and the Deli is fully stocked to provide your dog with the best food possible for months to come. Our food suppliers are not foreseeing any disruptions in fresh/frozen meats, vegetables, and common ingredients such as rice and oats.
As in any crisis, there will be hiccups and disruptions in our everyday lives and we should plan for them. Keeping an extra week or two worth of food in the freezer might be an option if you have the freezer space. If you have an existing or standing order and you would like to modify it, please give us a call/text or send us an email and we will make the necessary adjustments.
Please stay safe and enjoy some time at home with your dog!
